PRICES
When we provide a quote for a boat transport project, we aim to represent very good value and be as accurate as possible. The best way for us to achieve this is by using our quote request system.
If you would like to receive an accurate quote to transport your boat, please use the quote request form below, giving us as much detail as possible about both the vessel and the journey. This will allow our team to prepare a detailed quote for you and send it back to you within 24 hours.
How We Build Our Boat Transport Quotes
OUR BOAT TRANSPORT PRICING
In order to price anything accurately you need good data. What we often see is that boat transport companies with less experience will often over-price boat transport jobs, simply because they aren’t sure exactly what their costs are going to be for that specific job.
With over 30 years experience, and jobs being completed on a daily basis, we have more data than almost any other boat transport company. This means we know, almost exactly, what each job is going to cost.
So, what does that mean for you? If we know exactly what our costs are going to be, we don’t need to over-charge or give ourselves a buffer. This translates into a more cost effective quote for our customers.
The other crucial component of our quoting process is the data we ask you for prior to us putting the quote together. Again, the more accurate and detailed you can be with the nature of the boat transport journey, the more accurate we can be with the quote. This data might include the start and end point of the journey, the size and nature of the vessel and the ideal date of the journey.
Once we have all of this information we are able to put together a highly accurate quote for the job, and return that to you – usually within 24 hours.
FAQ
Here are some common questions that our customers have about our boat transport pricing. If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on either +44 (0)118 974 4441 or info@shorelineinterboat.co.uk
What if there are unexpected delays?
These things do happen occasionally – and they are rarely within anyone’s control. We’ve had delays due to cancelled ferry crossings, bad weather and, of course, traffic. However, we don’t ever feel it’s fair to pass any costs for these delays onto our customers. When we provide you with a quote, and you agree to proceed – we will always stick to that quote, no matter what delays we might encounter when making the transport.
What if our boat gets damaged?
We fully understand how important the cargo we are transporting is to our customers. In many cases, the boat we are transporting is their pride and joy. Sometimes it might even also be their home! We treat every boat we transport as if it was our own, and take every possible precaution to protect the boats we transport. This extends from our comprehensive pre-loading checks right through to our custom built, state of the art trucks and trailers. Obviously, we can’t rule out any damage at any point, but it is extremely unlikely. In the event that there is any damage to your vessel, this is entirely covered by our insurance.
Does the time of year impact price?
We do have busier and quieter times of the year. The reason for this is that our customers will typically be transporting boats with a particular purpose. For example, moving a yacht out to Europe for the summer season, or purchasing a boat that then needs transporting to their local marina ready to go in the water in April. We don’t raise our prices during these busier times. However, if you are flexible on when you need your boat transported, and are able to complete the move in our quieter periods, we may be able to offer you a more competitive price.
Will there be any unseen extras?
Our quotes are fully inclusive of all costs. This means that there won’t be any surprises for you when you come to complete the transport. There may be additional costs that you, as the owner, may need to pay (e.g. taxes) but we will make sure you are fully aware of this when we send you the quote for the transport.
Who pays for the boat lift?
All work completed by a boat year or marina will need to be paid for directly to them. In most cases, a boat yard will submit their own quote to the boat owner for all the work that is required. The costs for this will vary depending on the boat year. This also includes the stepping of the mast, which will usually need to happen at least a few days prior to the boat transport.
Will your quote include fuel?
Yes, our quote will include all costs specifically related to the transport of your vehicle. This includes fuel, tolls, ferry costs (if applicable), the driver and all the time it will take to load, transport and then unload your vessel at the other end.
REQUEST A QUOTE
Every transport project is unique. This means the best way for us to give you an accurate price is for you to send us a few key details about the boat you’d like to transport and the journey it needs to take.
We aim to respond to all quote requests within 24 hours and will always give you as much detail as possible in our responses.Â
Alternatively, if you have a more general request that doesn’t require a quote, please don’t hesitate to contact us on either +44 (0)118 974 4441.
